Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Small-scale businesses play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of Nigeria, particularly in rural areas like Wamakko Local Government, Sokoto State. These businesses face several challenges, including limited access to capital, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of information on business opportunities and markets. Additionally, the media can serve as a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, creating visibility for their businesses.
